Description
Jo's first day as the Doctor's assistant. Two firsts for me in this picture: Pony clothes and a background that isn't random shapes.
Even though the background is fairly simple, it still took me a while to do. So did the clothes. That's probably why I haven't been drawing characters in full costume.

How did it go? If I remember, the Doctor was doing some Lammerstein welding on his dematerialization circuit (which looked suspiciously like a Capsula toy.) She came in and blasted the whole rig with a fire extinguisher!

It's gonna take a lot of reversing the polarity of the neutron flow to clean that mess!

She'll be glad to know! Her personality is reminiscent of that picture that you drew of 6 realizing his companion is on Red Bull.

Did you know Three also comes with his own cutie mark? In the expanded Whoniverse they hand-waved it by claiming it was a mark of exile. So do you think Three should have a dragon woven around his hourglass?

LissyStrata In reply to MountainLygon [2012-04-17 12:25:07 +0000 UTC]
Probably, but I keep his mark the same throughout all his regenerations as a way to indicate that this is the same character.

This is so funny, even if I don't really know too much about the Third Doctor or his companions (I have soooo much Doctor Who to watch yet, I'm watching the First Doctor's episodes right now xD).

Wow, I think that's the first really well-done Jon Pertwee pony I've seen. I've got a really good Tom Baker pony in my collection, and of course David Tennant and Matt Smith ponies are EVERYWHERE. We need more classic Doctor ponies, and companions. Sarah Jane Smith, for example.

Yes! A John Pertwee pony! It's great to see the best being immortalized in the magic of Friendship. He came out very dapper and quite formal looking, though what stands out most is that he has very kind eyes. No doubt he'll be quite patient with his nervous new traveling companion. That's probably exactly what she needs in order to shine. (And now that I've looked at her history on Wikipedia, I suppose that's exactly what happened. The picture really does say it all. )
Jo (a.k.a. "Jo, Jo Grant") herself looks perfectly embarrassed, with the big nervous smile, almost pleading eyes, and edging back ever so little. Maybe it will take a while for her to realize ht's not like the others who've scorned her in the past. For all we know the Doctor's sympathetic and completely non-threatening look is unnerving to her.
Now, is her cutie mark representing that she's trying to unlock mysteries of the universe, her hidden potential, or both?

Oh, he can't stay mad at her for long, even if she did ruin his experiment.
As for the cutie mark, if I remember it right- she's trained in escapology.
