Shojo-Ai pairing Rosalie & Lady Oscar ..
It's finally done, I'm not really happy with the result, because I've ruined the coloring in the backround and there are other tons of mistakes.. but I'm not in the mood anymore to re-do it .. >.< still hope that someone'll like it..and I had to copy the pencil sketch, because I've ruined the outlines.. -.-
I used Faber Castell Polychromos, Prismacolor Premier Pencils, Maru-Pen, Saji-Pen, Dr.Ph Martin's White Ink, mostly Copic Ciao Markers..& washi paper <3

To be honest, I prefer Oscar x Andre & Rosalie x husband (me idiot forgot his name) further more. the first plan was Utena x Anthy card, but then I watched Oscar and stopped liking Utena that's why I decided to draw Oscar as shojo-ai series instead for utena ^^ and the possible pairings would have been Oscar x Rosalie or Oscar x Antoinette which I dislike, that's how that card came out .. hahaha sorry for that long story

It's okay. ^^ I ship Oscar x Andre, (simplified as OA in some fanarts), the most >w<. But I do like Rosalie and Bernard too!
Even though Rosalie's not my favorite character, it's pretty understandable why she's so emotional all the time.
I mean, if your "older sister" ditches you and your sick mom for a more extravagant life, then said mom gets run over by a carriage with a heartless lady, then you want revenge and kill her, the heartless lady's daughter bitches you because you were from a common background, said heartless lady is revealed to actually be your birth mother, Bitch girl goes insane and commits suicide because she was going to marry an implied pedophile, and once she dies you realized that you didn't have a chance to tell her that you were her half-sister, then your "older sister" commits the most well known financial scams in France, and then commits suicide to escape her debtors!
Excuse me while I shed tears in my emo corner.

On a different note, I'm currently watching (the godawful english dub of) Revolutionary Girl Utena, and juggling it with reading Shitsurakuen, which is pretty much Paradise Lost + Utena.

Anyways, even Rosalie was unpopular with the Japanese readers too.
And yes, I do like Utena....maybe. I'm currently juggling with another anime called The Count of Monte Cristo and ROV fanart. I've read the manga over a year ago and I'm currently watching the anime adaption, but with the English dub.

Antoinette....hmmm..... I like her at the end where she kept her dignity until her death. Although for the most part I like Oscar. ^^ Who doesn't? Too bad that the manga hasn't been translated into English for years, while Europe gets to praise it and have a rock opera version of it. Maybe it's because of that awful live-action film......
Unfortunately, it's the only way I could watch Utena on YouTube for now. U_U;
However I do like the crazy visuals it uses in the anime. (The Shadow Puppet Girls for example)
It's pretty much what Madoka Magica would've been if it was made in the '90s. (Although I'm still confused on whether Utena is supposed to be an an allegorical magical show or not.)

Oscar was more like Rosalie.. really. But.. she was pretty .. and that's it
I watched it in spanish also on Tube, but the spanish dub is better than the english one, especially in the last episode

Yeah, the picture + metaphore language is great, the movie has driven it to the top, I LOVE THE MOVIE- only the movie..
I think it is and also a post feminist interpretation of a girl grewing up and finding place in the world.. I don't know, sometimes I think there is too much in the plot and sometimes that people think that there is too much.. waaaaaa confusing -.-

Does the spanish dub have all of the episodes? I was hoping to understand spanish more if I watched something that would entertain me. (I was thinking of watching ROV in spanish first, but I realized that I would be wallowing in a flood of my own tears. Especially with Andre dying.
I'm still in Utena limbo with watching the episodes, but even if I didn't spoil myself with the last scene in the film, I would've already assumed that Utena and Anthy were meant to be together. I even suspected their relationship to be like this when I read the manga.
With the anime and manga, their both questioning if a person can still reach their dreams even if they're destroyed in the end. If I recall correctly in the manga, this was during the final showdown between Utena and Akio.
Plus, when I read how Utena ended in the manga, (and I assume that something similar is going to end like this in the anime), here were my thoughts:
Me : Wait, a pink haired girl pretty much becomes God, is forgotten by all except a few people, including her love interest, and the only thing their love interest has of them is some sort of momento and said love interest keeps on living. *sarcastic tone* Gee, I wonder why this looks so familiar? *Shamelessly shifts eyes to Madoka*

Oh my.. well.. it's not that unlikely, France is also on the same area as Spain, and back then many nowadays regions of spain actually were french.. Andre can be both spanish and french, so I'd totally ship this theory and his skin color is slightly darker that the other ones.. so he could have some spanish/portuges blood maybe ..
Great, so I'm not the only one.. but to me it sometimes seems that in both manga versions saito is fighting that image of utena and anthy being lovers, from Utenas side (she is only kissed by but never kisses Anthy) she always speaks of friendship. Only to the boys Akio or Touga.. she only holds hands with anthy.. I don't know what's her problem with Utena and Anthy being lovers, in the anime it seems little more obvoius to me.. and in the film it's super clear haha But thank you, I'm not the only one who thinks the same as you wrote..
in the manga Utena finally kisses akio and he disappears and anthy is in the place of alls adoration instead of Utena and then she goes to find her and they hug when they meet (reminds me soooooo much of Kannazuki no Miko!) ..

In PMMM, the love is implied, not direct. But many fans theorize with the former.

It was translated by a fan, but the manga was done by Ikeda (which makes it all the more pleasing. ^w^) So therefore, it's canon.
