HAHahah…the dub episode where Shino fights Zaku was on tonight….and Gai/Neji called him a “Bug Tamer” in the dub! BUG TAMER….so being the closet crazy Digimon fan I am (Yes I like Digimon) and with Shino’s dub voice actor being the SAME GUY WHO DID KEN (the Digimon emperor) in Season 2….I thought this was appropriate.And omg…Shino is a cocky bastard in the dub…oh god why. XD

Bet Shino will act as the digimon emperor as well... quiet, creppy, slighty malevolent (will make a nice kiddo villan) and yet having a digimon who looks like a humanoid kikachu aumented per 10,000x10 -_-U.
I don't her the english dub, since I'm mexican and I heard it in spanish. Shino's voice in Mexico sound practically as deep as in the japanese vertion (but Lee's spanish voice pierce my ears >.>

Like I LOVE Derek Steven Prince as Beelzemon, Ken, and a lot of others but, he just doesn't do it for me as Shino. He's not awful, just not as good as the Japanese voice actor.

Omg, Shino is cocky in the dub, eh? I recently watched the dub of episode 73 where Kankurou and him are talking before they fight. His tone was incredibly arrogant!

Yea! O_O I saw it too. >_< They changed some of his words to make him sound more like that as well. He is so not arrogant, he's really smart, calm and calculated! XDD There is a difference you silly dubbers!

HAHAHAHA I love shino's expression!! Yeah the first time I heard Shino's voice in english I was like WTF I've heard that voice before...and then I realized it was the guy that played Ken's voice from Digimon season 2....it kinda made me sad cause Shino's voice in japanese so deep and sexy....in english its kinda creepy...XD oh well its still a good choice.
yeah I never saw the japanese version of when Shino fights Zaku so...I couldnt sense any arrogence...

Compared to the Japanese version of the fight he is pretty arrogant in the English version, but in general he really wasn't, mostly just creepy. XD; I find it funny the dub makes him seem like that to me, yet he is so not in the Japanese version, (yea, bugs living in your body, not creepy, Shino in the dub, creepy) LOL.

Holy crap! xD I pictured almost this exact same thing when I saw that episode. I decided to give the dub on more shot because it was going to be his fight with Zaku, and I get THIS as a result?? And they made him sound so arrogant too. ((_<
And then...and then the guy who does Lee's voice did Daisuke's/Davis's too..., and of course I make bad mental connections because of that which lead to awkward mental images...

Although I think the Digimon Emperor voice actor is a big improvement compared to EP. 23 (grr.), and that I still cry from disappointment regardless of that fact, I think I'm likin' how the dub refers to Shino as a 'Bug Tamer."

Tho' if I think about it, that title alone solidifies his being a 'Bug NERD....'

I agree his voice is better than the one line he had in ep. 23. He sounds nerd-ish now though (to match the "Bug-Tamer" title is right...haha XD Kiba even calls him a "Bug nerd" in the dub instead of a "bug freak" in the JAP version)...but it's not so bad, I'm getting used to it. I just can't get his uber-sexy-voice-of-doom from the Japanese version out of my head. XD
And ahhh yes, Digimon. On my list of top ten fav animes. X3 My dream cosplay is Beelzemon....with the wings. OMG I wanna....but just thinking about sewing all that hurts my brain.

Hahaha, I don't really know. o.o; I'm mostly a manga fan, for one thing, so I haven't seen either the Japanese episodes of this Chuunin exam nor the English ones. xD;;;; >__>;;; I think the only Chuunin exam episodes I've seen are the ones about Gaara vs. Lee. *_*;
And I've sort of always thought of Shino as maybe secretly cocky, but probably only because of The Kiba! XDD Because we all know he would've totally become a chuunin IF ONLY he was able to show off his skills, hahaha.

Hahah Yea, I did! XD You're correct. I only wore it once, it was made really fast. X3; The bodysuit I got for it became my Ryntha costume two years later. I'm gonna wear that one again at Otakon on Friday this year, It's so fun to wear! ^^
Yea, he had like one line during that fight I think....he's got an awesome japanese voice actor. X33 I want Narultimate hero 3....! *makes grabby motions* ;_; LUCKYyy....argg....his fighting in that is sooo awesome. I also wanna play as Akamaru. O_O
