Description
A nice full body shot of my tentaspy costume. If you want more details on making of it go here: [link]I worked like a dog for 3 weeks before Otakon and got this baby done. SO HAPPY. 320 suckers, 8 huge tentacles, almost 100 yards of tulle for stuffing, and airbrushed made-from-scratch webbed gloves and custom made vest. Also Scarecrow fangs and face makeup to complete the monstery-blue-pale look.

I'm not a huge fan of tentaspy but holy crap this is an amazing costume! The way you did the tentacles is perplexing! Just brilliant.

Those tentacles are.... kind of amazing. I love how well your actual legs legs blend in.
You've been like, my cosplay hero since I discovered I liked doing it (lol, first-version Sly at SCAD's Masquerade Ball).

God you are amazing with this cosplay. You need to make a tutorial one day, I would love to see how you constructed it. From the photos I notice that two tentacles are your feet! I was wondering where the hell your legs were actually! You did a wonderful job

why tulle for the stuffing? Just to be lighter in weight?

Weight was a big factor yea, but also because I wanted it waterproof for possible photoshoot pics by the river, and for cleaning. Also also - it was bouncier. The tulle is stuffed in coiling / overlapping bunches, like right off the bolt in 20 yard pieces. It helps prevent dead spots without having to stuff too firmly. (dead spots as in over time with movement / bending, stretchy things that are not stuffed firmly / fluffy enough will move normal stuffing around and into clumps, which kills the seamless tentacle look).
I have one dead spot on one of the back tentacles, where the tulle-wrapped wire was not properly connected to the rest of the tulle stuffing, but that's why I put it in the back! LOL (put the nicest stuffed one up front).
