Ganondorf's sense of strategy is uncanny. I'll never understand the logic in sending the lowest lifeforms in the world, Chu-chus and bats and stuff, to prevent Link from getting some ober-powerful artifact (that is ground-shatteringly important for him in order to save the world), while keeping the most powerful and menacing troops at his castle (which is inaccessible anyways as long as Link can't get the previously mentioned artifact....)
Besides, they are even digestible, and *gasp* extremely advantageous to health....
Now that I think of it, there are several similarities between G-dorf and Xerxes in 300
.

You can't really blame Ganon for being so stupid. After all, the Hero of Time stabbed him through the brains with the Master Sword, and then a few thousand years later, the Hero of Winds ALSO stabbed him through the brains with the Master Sword.

I've let myself believe that Ganondorf doesn't actually know about all the amazing artifacts Link collects in order to defeat him. I mean, think about it, if you had to defeat Ganon with only a sword and shield you'd never reach him. Right? >.<
