Oriental breeds tend to be full in appearance and round-not scrawny and tall. Traditional siamese is "apple-headed" and round while the Americanized breed is taken to the extreme and made to look like a skeleton. Most of the overly scrawny breeds are Americans oversampling another breed.
Sorry, but I just really dislike that mistake people make about "asian" cats. Asian cats tend to be more dog-like as well, while Asian dogs are more "cat-like".
Even in the cat island in Japan...there isn't really any super skinny breeds and they adore the fatter ones like the Scottish fold. Some asian breeds are slender...but never scrawny -unless someone of American extremes has gotten their grubby paws on them.

Just like any other cat, except with more wrinkles, less fluff. Same structure, though.
