Description These 36 seamless textures are made in photoshop CS5, it take me at least 2 or 3 hours on each.
They're are 62 pixels width (not 64), alpha layers will be added later.

These look pretty good, but one reason I like this game is realism in the textures. These look a little bit cartoon-ish IMHO. The ores look kinda cool, but i cant really tell what a few are. Endurium looks good, but a bit too easily detectable. The basalt (I think it is basalt) has craters... there would not be craters underground, as no extraterrestrial objects would hit there. The crystals kind of remind me of aluminum foil colored to look different.

But I like how the light panels have distinguishable lights, not white lines. The titanocrete looks amazing, and seems as if it glows. Ice looks like actual ice, not solid cocaine trees (no offense to you, Gristmill). The wear and tear on the metal gives a nice look. The debris on the rock looks really nice, just bits and pieces of metal.

I like this, but I do not like this... I cannot be biased here... I like the old textures but some need new ones.

One last question, do you plan on adding speculars, envmaps, normal maps, ect... to these?

Thank you for comment

My texture are supposed to be semi-realistic, everything is hand-drawn
The ore have to be tested in-game and have more feedback, maybe i'll redraw them later.
The basalt is the one with hexagon on top, this is the ore background texture too.
The one with the craters is the regolith top
Crystal is not a recolored texture of aluminium, because I've not reused the old textures.

The light panels have a top and sides now, neon are for the sides and round light are for top/bottom.
I've made Titanocrete a bit blue because titanium ore is blue
My first ice [link] was not like that, it was much more cartoon-ish, this new one is way better and much more realistic.
The debris texture will not be added to the game right now,
it's a new block supposed to be the ground near to the crash area.

Specular map & normal maps are already done
I've posted some screenshot of the rendered blocks on the gristmill forum.

Wow. These are really good.
I especially liked the top right green ore (I presume) and the hexes on the second to last row.
Good job.

Thank you

The "green ore" is called endurium, it's a radioactive/luminescent stone.
The other ores are embedded in a block of basalt which can be hexagonal : [link]

Looks really cool

But may I ask why 62 instead of 64 ?

Thank you !

It's a work for Gristmill studio for their game Xenominer on xbox,
they asked me to make it 62x because of some technical reason

The Ores look rather similar.

It's because they're based on the same shape,
only color/reflection change.

I think it look better this way.

I don't know but I think I would rather see them looking like veins of ore, but thats neither here nor there, as you have them I think it will be a bit difficult to differentiate between the different kinds of ore when mining.

I don't think veins would work well with the block nature of the game. I think this way of doing it will be more effective in most cases.

Excellent game by the way, taken the Minecraft idea in a new direction. Looking forward to future developments.

Sorry, one more thing, I think it might be nice if the terrain texture was a bit more different in color from the metal textures, everything seems to blend together a bit much.

I really love your 'pixelated' works
You did a wonderful job with Greatwood and Summerfields
