Nothing special, just a quick render trying out a new light setup and bumped up the DOF samples!Stanford dragon model and other free 3d models can be found here [link]

Oh my god... I just found another person who had the jade version of this thing in real life a few minutes ago and then I find this... Weird.

haha that's strange!! Well the 3d model is actually a 3d scan of the real life object, using some high tech gadgetry

Nice render, but I'd suggest some more lighting to bring out the detail around the mouth.
On the model...How'd you get the .ply files into Max? And thanks for that link, I didn't know that existed.

I see what you mean! I only imported the model to test out the whole scene but I may have a go at making a setup just for the dragon!
I don't think I had .ply files! Mine are in .obj format so I just import the model into the scene when I need it

How'd you get .obj? All the things I've downloaded seem to be in .ply D:
And none of the converters on the page are free. ^_^
