Apparently all I can work with is dark blue and green.This draws some pretty heavy inspiration from Over the Garden Wall with its style and theme of the lantern and the woods. If you haven't seen this animated series, you are doing yourself a disservice. It has some beautiful music and aesthetics, as well as just a very nice gothic styled narrative.
Never gonna get tired of drawing my evil child.

Not too long, but it wasn't the shortest piece I've finished either. Like I started last night and worked for an hour, paused to sleep and teach, and then worked another hour when I got home. Though it may have been that long thanks to the changes I kept making xD This was the sketch;
