12x24" 30x60cm acrylic on hardboardBlue sky! I hate painting blue skies, but what the heck, you got'a push the envelope every so often. Other than the blue sky! everything is pretty much standard fare, a slight variation on previous paintings.

I really enjoy this piece, for I find it very calming. I can see myself taking a walk on the path/road. You really did an excellent job in your execution of the sky, which I think enhances the pieces overall serenity.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I usually use my skies to bring light into the painting and blues seem too dark. However with all the white snow in this piece I can afford the blue sky and still have my light.

That is a very good blue sky. It made my eyes pop that blue is so vibrant.
But what really draws my attention is that pathway, I must say.

Thanks again for taking the time to look in and comment on my work. Sorry I've fallen a bit behind in replying. Around here the sky is usually pretty pale near the horizon on most days so that making the sky that is included in the painting very blue makes it look like I'm working from a photo which seen to make blues bluer. Of course I'm sure there are days and places with blue skies right down to the horizon, at least there are in postcards.

Where I live we have deep blue skies down to the horizon, but only in the autumn season.
