Description
6x8" 15x20cm acrylic on hardboardNice, small, 100% improvised as I go along: more like playing with paint than painting. Maybe I'll learn something, maybe not, just interesting to see how it unfolds as I put paint on, scrape some paint off and try again until it's good enough.

Thanks, I only use acrylics these days. For years and years I painted in watercolors, but when I wanted to try to sell paintings I tackled oils. I painted over 200 oils, but started using acrylics in small paintings because I could paint wet on wet just like I did oils with a lot less mess. Over time I came to realize that I could do everything I wanted in acrylics (and a lot more). I'd never go back to either watercolors or oil. (And I'd never go back to canvas either: hardboard is cheap, durable, and can easily be cut to whatever size you want.)

Thanks again. I'm glad you are finding them interesting. I keep forgetting what I learn from doing them. Keeps things interesting.
