Today I had watched Wish on Disney+, and I can see why it failed. I know it’s supposed to be Disney’s 100 anniversary animated musical, but Wish felt like it was rushed and was written by AI. And it is trying to mimic the animation style Spider-Verse and Mutant Maybem used, but it just didn’t work. Even the villain build up on King Magnifico felt like they got the hero and villain role backwards between Magnifico and Asha. Hazbin Hotel on the other hand does the animated musical genre justice by actually having care from Vivienne Medrano and Amazon Studios. Especially the song Stayed Gone had care put into it by making it sinister at the beginning, then to classical jazz in the middle, then back to sinister again between Alastor and Vox. It’s how we know the song is a masterpiece. In the end, Hazbin Hotel is the superior animated musical when compared to Wish.
