Description
EDIT - The website name has changed to ezimba.com. Go there for animating the frames. Also, I have moved accounts and won't be able to respond to questions on this tutorial. Please, if you have any questions/concerns, ask me at Froggybutt .I made this tutorial for a friend, but go ahead and feel free to try this style for yourself! It makes simple, yet active and attractive journal/page dolls for everyone! :3
Feel free to ask if you need any help!
Here was the finished result of this journal doll in the tutorial- :thumb357000090:

how do you do the pull pixels down for bounce effect thing?
That part is the only confusing thing

How do eliminate the background, so it's transparent?
π: 0 β©: 1
Little-Painter In reply to chole785 [2014-03-25 22:44:43 +0000 UTC]
Once the journal doll is animated and the image is moving, go to the button that says "transparency" on it.
However, you have to have the background color a different color from anything on the journal doll.
For example, let's say you have a cat journal doll that's red, blue, pink, and white. You'd have to use the fill tool to fill in the background with a color you have yet to use.Β

What art program did you use to do all of this?Β
I have MS Paint
Easy Paint Tool SAI
and Gimp 2.6 but I am not very experienced with it X3 ;lol

Little-Painter In reply to GlaDOSStar [2014-03-24 03:51:39 +0000 UTC]
Sorry for the late reply.
This was done in MS paint. But it should work with the binary tool in SAI.
I've never used Gimp before. :c

Apologies for the very late reply.
This tutorial is meant for pixel art. Most likely the anti-aliasing on what you did caused it not to work.Β

well i figured how to still make it work, but one thing i failed to notice was i left very very veryyyy light erase/paint marks and it ended up showing up whenever i set the transparency. now it works great! :3Β

Just do what it says above. :3
If there's anything specific you need help with, just ask. ^u^
The only outdated part of this tutorial is that the website Iaza.com is now called Ezimba.com, but it should still send you to the right place.

How do you Get the back ground to be see through like there is nothing behind the picture
π: 0 β©: 1
Little-Painter In reply to superwholock99 [2013-07-25 15:50:40 +0000 UTC]
Once all the frames are together and animated on Iaza.com (The name has changed to ezimba.com, but it's the same thing), I go back to the main editing page and click "Transparency". Click the convert button.... and voila! Instant transparency.

Do you just use the thumb code to put it somewhere? ( I want to make a page doll.) And, what program do you use to draw it, cause I use MS Paint, and I can't get transparency.
π: 0 β©: 1
Little-Painter In reply to DismalDay [2013-07-25 01:04:03 +0000 UTC]
You just copy and paste the thumbnail code where ever you want it. :3
Also, this is a tutorial for MS Paint, my friend. xD
Just do what it says above. ^u^
If you need more help, I can probably show you via a livestream.

Just make it 150x150 pixels or less and you won't need a preview image. :3
