I picked this one up a few weeks ago and started working on it, because the old version seemed to have been popular but of bad quality. Don't think I made it that much better through rushing with the finishing again.I hope everyone else had a...Merry Christmas. As usually, mine wasn't. And since I don't give a damn anymore about anything and also lost my mouse, this is the result.
I had more on my mind to rant over....but this is not the place nor time. So screw it.
Do not own characters etc etc, is fanart etc etc.

It reminds me of that ending to the manga. 
I must say that I like the shine you put on Tango and Proto's helm. It looks quite lovely.

Protoman was my fave char ;~;
All of my faves die in the end, it seems.
Still, it was very sad.. Especially looking at the role the character played through the series. As I see it, it wasn't easy to be him.
Thanks for the feedback on the coloring too. I'm still trying out various things while doing digital art, so I don't know what it'll look like in the end. I'm satisfied with how this came to be though.

I know how that feels. A lot of characters I really care about in certain series seem to die too. And if they don't die, they reveal themselves to be evil. It certainly made me sad, but at the same time, I was happy that he at least died a hero rather than a loner that didn't trust anyone or a servant to Wily. I just wish he could've gotten to see his father and his brother one last time. I really felt bad for Dr. Light when he saw Proto's broken helmet in the box.

It never really happened to me that a fave of mine turned evil. Though, it happen that they were/ were considered to be evil from the start. The alignment doesn't really matter too much, there's always reasons for it.
It was really sad, indeed. They could have offered him that last present, to see them. But then things would have turned out differently.
I just wonder if the necessary repairs would have really taken his free will away, or if it was just that he didn't want to rely on anyone.
That's nice. I'm slowly getting more patience when coloring stuff. Worked about 8 hours on my last piece. It's tiresome but worth it.

That's kind of what I was talking about: That they were evil from the start but just pretending to be good. I don't know, it just always made me very sad because I would develop an attachment to those characters and then I later found out in the series they had planned to betray the good guys from the very beginning.
As for Protoman refusing his repairs, I think it was a little of both. He didn't want to change who he was and at the same time, he wanted to stay independent and not be tied down.
Same here, by the way. I agree it can get a little tiring working on the same piece for hours (days even), but yeah. ^w^ I think it's definitely worth it in the end.

Also, there's something I wanted to thank you for. In your last comment, you mentioned something about keeping a list of all the details you wanted to add when making pictures. That's...actually a really interesting idea. At times, I've found myself going back to other pictures I've done, because there was either something missing that I wanted to add, or something that I figured wasn't necessary. I think I might try that for my future artwork so I don't go thinking a picture is finished and then realize too late there was something else I wanted to add to it.
