A gift I made earlier this year for my little bro .In fact it was a late birthday gift...
I had so many problems while drawing him! But I think he ended up not so bad... Oh well, I post it because he asked me to do so.

That's quite the problem. Taking picture with a camera, it can easily become blurry or gray-ish. But, scanner are so small.

If you have a scanner try both, you'll really soon find which one goes best for you and gives the best results.

Then you have no choice : Try the picture. (Lighting it correctly is the key.)

Firstly, I'm not good at drawing such species of character, like crocodile, hawk, swallow, etc. (It's true. 
Secondly, it looks like he's having a good rest there indeed.
And thirdly, I like the tone of this picture. I enjoy coloring and appreciating art painted in pastel tones. (That's why my art is paint in pale colors.) Looking at such a picture sets my mind at ease.
So you should be proud of it.

Vector deserves respect. He's nearly the only official reptile Sonic character with Espio, which is actually quite sad since reptiles rock so much! Long live reptiles!
