Description thought today was a good day to take a bit of time off and do some shooting. that and I picked up some macro rings that were just staring me in the face. Still have wicked shallow DOF but at least I don't have to hold the lens in reverse and now I have 3 rings that give many options for macro. Using the 50mm 1.8 with them, which was the intended purpose when I originally purchased the lens. Much much cheaper than a true macro lens costs, though I doo miss out on auto focus and fstops and stuff. But hey, poorboys can't be choosers.

p.s. the actual size of these guys, lets just say I can hide the one in bloom behind a dime.

It looks so soft, delicate and pretty.
I just want to cuddle up inside of it!

Nice hazy effect, Andrew I like the shallow DOF. Nicely done. I've got a set of those macro rings too. I haven't tried them yey though.

They are really fun, but take a really steady hand because of the shallow dof. I want to do more, and might do some stuff indoors with a tripod or something.

Time is always the issue. Time to setup, time to capture, time to teardown, time to process, time to post. But, I may have a shoot tomorrow (-;
