Still working on another animation of him, but in the mean time I thought I would do this picture.

Firstly, the title is so completely awesome! I could make a whole poem out of that, lovely already! And the meaning you put behind the title is great as well, for only a fool wouldn't realize what the real price of the gold is ^^
As always, you did a great job on the details with him, great shading and designs! I just ADORE his nose!

Man the faces you do always look so life like. Dunno how you do it but it looks kick ass. Even if you didn't nail what you were going for I'm still a big fan! The clothes look so natural and detailed. You might have done the gold and background in different styles compared to Bill but I still think it works with the nature of both the picture and what is Bill. He's the kind of guy to stand out in any situation after all

Now I know why you called it fools gold...ha ha. I really like what you did with this one, especially the character, his outfit really is painted well. I got spooked when I seen the dragon,the poor soul will have to find out the hardway about stealing from dragons.
Is the coins some kind of template? I coudn't imagine drawing all those coins...

thanx buddy, Bill will somehow escape the dragons wrath. He is very good at getting out of tricky situations. But very good at getting into them aswell lol.
As for the coins. I used the circle tool to do a few and then I kept copying and pasting. I had alot of people tell me how crap they look. Bla I was hoping I would get away with it. Well that teaches me for being lazy when drawing coins lol

Your coins don't look like crap.
That's actually not a bad idea, especially when you really don't want to go into a tireless effort in making a zillion circles. It is much less stressful I could imagine- and if you pull it off right no one will notice.

Well, either a fool, or a very skillful and very, very insolent thief... also a drow... do you know, whom I am talking about?

lol oh yes I certainly do. That is where I got the holding amulet idea from. I stole it from the other picture lol, and them modified abit. I also stole some weapons from my other pictures too. (Some swords) And if you look carefuly, you can see Dzzirtnafein's little dagger. It would seem that he will have to come here and steal it back. And unlike Bill he won't get caught. Because he is cunning and clever, unlike Bill. However, Bill will somehow escape what ever the dragon has instore for him. He always seems to escape these situations. He is unusualy lucky like that lol.

He looks drow in the face, I love his expression. But the clothes are elvish looking but that's okay, maybe he took up the surface fashion while he was up there.

the coins are cheap toy coins. . . . . Naaa just kidding. but they look like cheap toy coins. I got lazy with the treasure. I thought to myself, how am I gonna draw heaps of coins. . . . . the lazy way ofcause. Cut copy and past the circle tool
