Description so i had this in my stash for quite a bit now.

so...you know how alot of dinosaur TFs are based on inaccurate/old/generic reconstructions of dinosaurs? like how a "raptor" TF is the person turning into a scaley Jurassic park-styled raptor that we've seen since the 80's? well, let me tell you a headcannon i have for why that is:

...it's all in he head.

ok, let me elaborate: whenever there's a dinosaur tf, the accuracy is entirely base on what the TF-ee (or TF-er) thinks is accurate. sure, that featherless 5-foot-tall velociraptor is far from accurate nowadays, but to the uneducated mind it's what they believe to be the real deal. and because of the popularity of Jurassic park and it's raptors, that what many think is what velociraptor looks like. thus, they transform into said inaccurate version (or get TF'd into one by the scientist, who also thinks that velociraptor was exactly like JP's/JW's).

additionally, they're also this running joke in the paleontology community were, whenever a new discovery on some existing fossil species has been made (and especially the long-time ones like t-rex and spinosaurus), there's guarantee gonna be comments that run along the line of "next time we'll discover that (Insert dinosaur) shot lasers outta it's ass and flew using telekinesis".

thus, this drawing was born: my sona, vee (who is canonically a shapeshifter now), as a 50-ft tall fire-breathing half-dragon half-whale hippo-wolf-hellpig that is andrewsarchus. i'm sure she only shows this just to express frustration over fragmented fossils that she cannot seem to get a good reconstruction of (besides, the BBC rendition is like a comfort form for her; it's just a big, floofy psuedo-pupper).
why andrewsarchus? well, for one, i was in the middle of drawing (or re-drawing) andrewsarchus when this idea came to mind. and also that we only know this animal from it's skull and some lower jaw fragments.

for all we know, the fossils could've been juveniles, and the adults were way bigger than previously though. and since we have no postcranial of andrewsarchus, then who's to say it WASNT some weird hippo-wolf-hellpig chimera with wings? hell, we dont even know it's behavior and how it lived, so it's not out of the question if andrewsarchus was actually capable of breathing fire out of both ends.

actually coming to think about she might just keep this form for the sake of coolness.
