Ingrid, Quinn and Jodie's grandparents!Sophie and Krampus the 1st!
They are both Nergal's biological parents.
Sophie and Krampus both thousands of years old (REALLY OLD) but they don't physically look it. They're both retired, which is why Nergal is the current Krampus and runs the family business.
Both are EXCELLENT grandparents to the girls and they visit on holidays.
Here's some info on both:
SOPHIE
The strong willed, cold wife of Krampus, Sophie came from a rich family in Hell, and took souls from adult humans back in her day. She met Krampus at a huge fancy party one night that he was threw at his manor (he was head of Hell at the time, and the rich usually had corny parties when they were bored). Since he was looking for a wife, a lot of women tried their best to woo him. Of course Krampus was attracted to Sophie and they actually hit it off that night. They ended up hooking up, which resulted Sophie becoming pregnant with Nergal. They got married soon afterwards. Sophie was never happy in her marriage, mainly because she felt she never enjoyed her youth.
She and Krampus never fought though, they got along well. Sophie was pretty distant to her son Nergal growing up and only bought him materialistic things. She also tended to take her anger out on him and didn't know how to show affection. Nergal is still scared of her to this day.
She and Vera don’t get along much XD
KRAMPUS
Punished children for a living back in his day, you know the drill.
He was pretty well respected in Hell (and still is), everyone wanted to be him and with him.
Krampus is actually a pretty decent guy, when he's not working. He was always a slacker, loved booze and women. Was a real party animal back in his day!
When he married Sophie, he was so EXCITED to be a father.
Him and Nergal were always so close, and he wanted the best for his son.
Sophie ignored Nergal for the most part, so he spent a lot of time teaching him things.
Can't say they were nice things though XD

Gosh i'm learning so much about the story, your drawing AND writing skills are crazy, girl!
Seeing older generations like this in ANY story is one of my favorite things! Seeing who gets what traits from who, and learning so much lore! Aaah!
We finally get to see where Jodie's monsters come from! I was so curious about that, I thought it was just a strange mystery! XD
Both Krampus and Sophie's designs are so unique, i could go on and on about both of them! Just know that I think they're absolutely amazing!
I can't wait to draw them in the future too!

Anyway, this is something I never even thought about! Nergal had to have had a mother, and I can't believe that I never wondered how your version of Krampus would look like!
I love them! Krampus' hairy mane and goat-like horns give him a very unique look, that sets him apart from the rest of the cast. Its fitting just how much Sophie looks like an older (and slightly more intimidating) Ingrid.
As for the characters' backgrounds, I LOVE how Nergal's relationship with his parents is a complete inversion of his daughter's! Smart writing!

I actually like how Nergal's relationship with his mother is the polar opposite from his fathers as he is so close to his father but is distant and fears his mother o3o Very interesting!
ALSO JODIE GOT HER HAIR FROM HER GRANDMOTHER OOOOOOOH!!!!
I also love how human Krampus is....like he was just this guy and even had a hook up but still stuck by his wife and kid despite how it all went down. Like he even supported his illegitimate son..financially at least.
You do an amazing job with storytelling and world building I swear <3 It's always fun reading about your characters you give them so much life!!!

Motherly love is important...sad she didn't give him that as a child.

He's afraid of her for a reason though, she was TOUGH on him! XD

The backstories of the grandparents of the Krampus family are interesting, though it makes me a little sad because they've gone through tough things in their lives after performing the hugest sins of all.
Nonetheless, I'm happy they're sucessful anyway. Without them, the series wouldn't exist.

Honestly, Sophie and Krampus low key remind me of my grandparents from my mother's side XD
I mean, my mum said that her mother never showed her much affection because she preferred her baby brothers over her but her dad, on the other hand, loved her very much and felt really really bad whenever he was forced to punish her over the things she didn't do ;-;
(mostly my uncles were the ones that misbehaved but they never got punished because they were "just little kids")
That's pretty much why Sophie and Krampus are so relatable and speak to me on so many levels! XD
