Hey there budding squiggle meisters of the world~
LittleMissSquiggles here and I thought I’d share something that might interest some of you this fine evening. Recently I’ve been experimenting using 3D to help make the more architectural part of backgrounds (such as buldings and other geometrical props, etc).
First I would model my background using Google Sketchup, then export it as a 2D lineart drawing. Seperate the lineart in Photoshop. Colour it in Paint Tool Sai, playing around with textures for some added effect and finally back to Photoshop for the final adjustments.
And this is what I came up with. It’s not much. Still got a long way to go to achieve the level I want to reach. But of all the experiments I’ve done so far with this technique of mine, this is best results I’ve done so far.
So I decided to share it with everyone here on DA. Thus far these two are my best works in my experiments. Currently I'm working on yet another one for practice which will be up soon my Tumblr blog .
And if you’re good with modeling in 3D then you’ll definitely like using Sketchup.
Anyways, hope you guys like my little experiment.
