Description
Belated birthday present.Inside of my wrists, rose on the right for my wonderful daughter, thistle on the left for my amazing son.
I could get all symbolic about them being on the vein that leads to my heart, but I'll get all weepy and stupid.
Took about 30 minutes from go to woe.
I'll post more pics in a couple weeks when they're, you know, not bleeding still.

Luckily when I got my tattoo I didn't have to endure strange looks since it's on the upper part of my arm. Still need to get it colored...

I had several warnings about getting them in such a visible place, but I can cover them when I have to, and they're very sweet and inoffensive. I did have someone ask if the tudor rose was some sort of satanic pentagram symbol, though...

At least the story behind your tattoo is a lot more interesting then mine. The only shorted explanation I can come up with for mine that others will understand is some pagan crap on being close to the water and ice elements. Compared to yours, mine makes me sound like I need to up the dose on my medicine.

I know that people often blow off how much tattoos hurt because they want to sound tough, but actually, they weren't too bad. I expected it to hurt a lot worse than it did.
