The start of new life. For Mei this was the most amazing experience ever.
Ivysaur was still the first in the queue with his nose right up against the basket. He sniffed the basket and the pink ruffles started to move. He blinked and tilted his head.
“Oh I almost forgot” cried Mei “Vulpix, come out!” She reached over to her bag hanging on the bed frame and released Vulpix. Vulpix rubbed her eyes and ran straight next to Ivysaur.
As the basket moved a little bit more a little fluffy head appeared. There, blinking franticly was a new born Mareep. Mareep wriggled her nose and closed her eyes really tight. She was about to sneeze but stopped herself. She gave the most cute expression ever.
“Vulpix! Vulpix!” Vulpix cried with delight. She lifted her head up with pride and gave Mareep a lick on the nose. She will care for her very much and keep her safe she told herself.
Mei crept to the edge of the bed, she was thrilled to see her soo bright and happy.
Mareep carefully started to climb out of the basket and roll on the floor right into Ivysaur’s feet. She sniff his feet and looked up to him. “Ma-reep!” she said with a tiny high pitched voice and snuggled into his legs.
Ivysaur didn’t move a muscle. He didn’t no how to react to such a new born being so clingy. He gently wiggled his foot til Mareep slid off. Mareep looked up in confusion. Ivysaur started to walk away from Mareep when he was suddenly stopped by some extra weight on his back legs. Mareep had decided to hold onto both his back legs and be dragged around the room by Ivysaur, Ivysaur rolled his eyes and tried to shake her off.
“Aww isn’t she adorable! She likes you very much Ivysaur” Mei said. Ivysaur slowly turned his head to Mei and gave a forced smile. “ Oh don’t be like that! I think she’s lovely!” Mei stood up on the bed and started to bounce.
Mareep’s head quickly flicked over to Mei. She watched her bounce up and down. Mareep had an idea. She carefully waddled over to the edge of the bed but struggled to get up.
“Oh, I better not do that, it seems she wants to copy me” Mei said returning to sit on the edge of the bed infront of Mareep. Mareep continued to try and crawl up the bed, but it wasn’t working. So, Mareep decided to play her own game, and so she did. Her game was bouncing on everything she could. She bounce onto Ivysaur, she bounced onto Vulpix. She just couldn’t stop bouncing around.
“Haha! She’s so full of energy!” Mei laughed trying to catch her.
Even after an hour later she was so tired but still she tried to bounce around the room. If it wasn’t for Vulpix helping her to calm down and rest, she would still be bouncing around now. Vulpix curled around her and cuddled in. She seemed to like to take care of her, like her mother. She would try to play games and join in with Mareep, but she would always be extra careful incase Mareep would hurt herself.
