Description
This is a submission for PixelJoint's weekly challenge. This week the challenge is to pixel a scene from your favorite movie using only 12 colors, and I chose the Labyrinth, both because it's such a beautiful movie and because I knew it would be a huge challenge for me.I really enjoyed doing this piece. This is Jarreth and Sarah looking over the labyrinth before the sun rises. Pixeling the castle in the distance was a mess, because first I had to figure out what was going on in the original before I could pixel it properly. But it was such fun!
I think I spent... let's see.... probably eight hours on this. In one day. Because I'm a freak. Enjoy!

Very well done! I love the degree of detail you were able to bring across (from the blades of grass to the rolls of clouds) even though you were limited by pixels and 12 colors.

Ok, I think we have established how amazing that is, but now for some criticism!
I think there could have been a couple more little flower-weed things around the person, and...uh...I was going to say put some more details on the tree and castle, but I kind of like the way it is because the person is in focus...Hmm...
Oh well, this is really good.

PSP (PaintShop Pro) is Corel's cheaper version of PhotoShop. It takes less time to load, so that's why I use it for pixel art :3

I personally think it won both for technique and because PixelJoint is made up of mostly boys. I imagine Labyrinth is more of a girl movie.
