I have this idea where the Bots return to Earth years later, and Jack, now an old man, walks up to Arcee and (with difficulty) raises his arm and places his hand on her face in a literally touching moment.

Given that Arcee isn't seen in RID, it would mean that she's still back on Cybertron doing deskwork or something. I'm just saying, it would be cool and heartwarming all at once to see the two partners come face-to-face after so long apart.
