Ugh.. I think my eye's gonna pop out o_O
At least I'm done with page 3. *wipes off sweat*
It's not perfect, but I thought I should rather be quick than spend too much time on each page. XD

Thank you all for reading and supporting me! I wouldn't be drawing this without you guys. ^^

Comments and faves appreciated.

Half of me wishes I hadn't read this fic however long ago XD
But I love it. You're REALLY good. I wish I could make manga pics like that
I tried ~_~ like five different occasions
I can't take less than like four hours a picture so I can't do it
I love you're drawings though and so far it really feels like you're turning the fic into a manga chapter

Why do you wish you hadn't read it if you love it? O: sry that I don't get it XD
I've seen your gallery and you're really good You ought not to despair and try again once in a while. It would be a shame if you gave up. ^^
By the way, I too need at the very least four hours to finish the pencil lineart of one page, so take as much time as you need. It's the result that counts! ^^
Actually, for me I have DC and MK as a basis and when I don't know how to draw some specific positions or perspectives, I always look for something similar in the Magas.Β  ALso I did a lot of Kaito Kid sketches so that I can always look him up in my scrapbook. Though I feel like I'm starting to get more and more indepentend over time . ^^ (but I try not too since I'm afraid the characters might stop looking like Gosho Aoyamas then... )
You see, I don't think I'd be able to draw an own Manga in the moment, but I do feel like if I continue drawing this Doujiindhi I might be able at some point. I honestly had no idea what I was doing when I started this Douhinshi exept for knowing that it had to look like DC or MK! xD

Thank you very much though, I really appreciate you liking it. And since you already know the fanfiction I truly hope not to disappoint you with my manga adaption.

Sorry for confusing you.
I mean since I read it, I know exactly what is going on in the story so I almost wish I hadn't read it so I would be held in suspense (or something like that )
I'm done with trying to make them on my own I tried. I have about two pages of an original but I didn't plan the story out well. You made me kinda want to try to start up one like you did, but I dunno if I can ~_~
I'm not good with 'long' stuff

And I'm sure you'll do great! You already are. Can't wait to see the rest of this as you finish.

Oh, haha, I understand. XD Oh well, I hope you can still enjoy it though. :'D
Ahh, you know, I'm actually writing a noval (or was, since I'm taking a long break from it) and I ended up correcting it about a dozen times because my story had plot holes. Although luckyly texts can be easily corrected and edited, it's still getting frustrating over time and I don't want to start over jet another time. But I see it's even more difficult with Mangas. Drawing costs twice as much time and can't be edited after a while. So I do understand why you wouldn't like to start all over again. Β  god, in the beginning I even planned to make my story a Manga but got scared by the thought actually doing that. I would be pulling out my hair by now if I'd really done that. XD
I didn't mean to discourage you by that though!! Usually stories do not need as much editing as mine did.
But hey, it's really good training to do a doujinshi and you get a lot of fans who support and encourage you. So you might as well give it a try. I'm sure with your drawing abilities you'll attrakt a lot of watchers.<3
I was actually pretty lucky to have found a fanfiction like one week. ^^ It only holds seven days = seven chapters and has a stable surrounding area. I wouldn't have dared to do a manga adaptation otherwise. xD
So if you start with somethings like this I'm sure you'll find it pretty easy in time. It's much more motivating this way ^^

Aww, thanks Yep, I'm just as exited about how it's going to turn out XD

And... you made me wanna start my own based on one of my own stories XD
And I started ^_^
Looks nothing like a manga, looks more like a black and white and gray anime, but hey, I tried.
hesitant to post though because I don't want mine to be compared to yours...

Wow! Feels great to be part of your motivation! ^u^
I'd love to see your manga if you don't mind c:
Aww, don't worry - people shouldn't compare works of different authors and neither should you. Furthermore it's the story that counts, the art merely adds up. ^^ There are so many Mangakas out there who seemd very unexperienced in the beginning but improved a lot during the series. To be honest I'd even count Gosho Aoyama to one of them (please don't throw tomatos at me~). I knew DC before MK and lately when I started reading MK I got a real art shock X'D But he's got quite a lot of fans now ^.^b
Also about the background stuff which drives the nerves out of me... I'm not sure if you already knew, but Mangaka usually have their assistents who do static things like buildings, rooms and stuff. As a hobbyist Mangaka you've got twice to job to do -.-" I try to be more comfortable by looking out for screentones and handy brushes on dA. They helped me out a lot in this Doujinshi. ^^
Btw, if you have any qestions about how I work or specific things you wonder how I did - just ask!! I figured out a bunch of things alone but it took time to research. I'd gladly help you to save some time.

Unfortunately I can't use brushes
I have no idea how to use gimp, though I have it. The few times I have used it have been for animations and the way everything is hidden annoys the heck out of me.
I have NO version of PS at all... since they're money and I was comfortable enough with Paint.net (which I also don't have anymore. My computer has gotten virused and wiped so many times its not even funny at this point)
I just use Sai, and no brushes work with Sai so.. yeah
I'm just gonna leave itl ook like a black and white anime thing XD and yeah... I guess I'll post it then...
the boxes are hard to make since Sai has NO SHAPE TOOLS WHAT SO EVER DX

Oh? But I thought Sai had the brush option? Are there different versions of paint tool Sai? O: Otherwise I found some screentoning tutourials on Youtube for PS as well as Sai. ^^
I can't be sure though since I use PS but I almost feel like Sai is the better software since it has the stabilizer. ^^
I'm not well in Gimp either Β  I've tried to work with it a few year ago but then dropped it because I didn't understand anything about digital art.
Hmm... in PS there's this "stroke" option in "Edit" I first use the ordinary selection tool or "Polygonal Lasso tool" to select the box area and then have the box stroked 7 pixels in black. But iften I don't have to stroke the boxes because I used a dark pencil to bring them out in the pencil sketch already. I do the entire lineart in pencil and go to the "Filter" menue and select the option "Stamp..." to turn it into a black and white lineart in PS.
Don't know it that's possible in Sai, but you could look around a bit. It's often good to just toy around with the programm. I made some discoverys this way! ^^

Other than that maybe you could find someone in dA who'd like to add screentone to your Manga. c: I don't have enough time, otherwise I'd offer you my help. But that's actually what I was planing at first when I had no idea whatsoever about screentoning.
