The technique of 2013 is the most beautiful. However, i think the character looks best in 2011.

I actually think that not every anime style artist MUST improve to a realism style artist. I actually liked the 2011 anime style more than the other ones, 2013 version is nice and color improvements are really obvious.

2013 looks great! Kinda reminds me of my own personal growth (minus the demanding art teachers. Art at my university did not sit well with me, so I'm saving my great post-secondary art experience for the best [art/animation/video game design] college in my province), though 2011 is a pretty great style too. It would be interesting to see your rendition of a style that mixes 2 and 3.
