If anything, Tigerstar is the one who pushed Rusty/Fireheart to BE a good leader. To BE a good deputy. To BE a good warrior. Because Fireheart was constantly trying to prove he belonged. And he did that after Tigerheart's betrayal started.

Thats right, Firestar would be NOTHING without Tigerstar. Not even Scourge would come and challenge them since Tiger brought him to the forest in the first place. That would make a good contest to see what would fireheart turn out like if they never met.

And bringing up THAT. Both Rusty and Scourge have some similarities. Both were brought on by Tigerclaw. In some way. They were both kitty pets, but Rusty was greeted in a different way than Tiny was. You know what I mean?

I can't help feel Scourge was a nice guy beneath it all like Rusty when they both started out but life really hit scourge hard and turned him really evil. Whereas Rusty went the other way and was brought up with strong loving cats in a clan and made himself stronger to defend those cats against Tigerstar. But maybe if their lives had switched to begin with Fireheart would have turned into the evil leader. Potentially he had that in him too?

That's what I mean. All this branched from Tigerclaw in someway. If Tigerclaw really wasn't meant to be born like Goosefeather claimed, then why was everything relying around him in the story?
