It is interesting, when feeling particularly low, to find notes from your past self and to see that - while you aren’t as strong as you think you should be right now- you have grown so much already. It’s such a shame that people can’t see our wandering paths… but if they think you ought to be further along as well just know you have taken the path less traveled by. And it was rough and unpaved- but you know more than you ever would have before. Chin up. March on. You’re doing just fine. There is strength when we stand broken and still manage to carry on. (Even if you feel like cardboard when doing so…)

This piece is very well done! The anatomy is accurate and the features of Lance and Keith's suit are too! Do you have any story behind this?

Usually I do! But this one was me just being angsty because , well, I'm angsty? But I do sort of see it as Lance right after he takes off his helmet in battle? He got hit really hard and he's honestly more than a little dazed by it so he take off his helmet and the nose drips freely- but the handprint and the blood there? He hasn't even noticed it yet.... its a different wound that helped make him really dazed in the first place.
I'd like to think it's one of those moments where he gets back onto his lion afterwards and they form Voltron, save the day, all that jazz and when they all meet up afterwards, Lance slumps on the couch tiredly and Hunk like makes a casual comment "Hey Lance, nice shot during the-" and then he looks over and see's the blood and gets a bit queesy and calls Coran over and they fix him up and bada-bing-bada-boom, that's the scene!
(Also, small headcannon I'm confused about: the pods. A perfect fix-it for any and all injuries without having to explain, guess or even vaguely know anything medical! But I just feel like the pods are for big injuries? And I feel like the Alteans would have good ointments and medicines? So I dunno- I'm just a fan of athletic tape in daily life- I'm a wilderness guide and I have a few first-aid certifications and such through that, so... I like to wrap everything up in bandages? Its neat-o. I dunno where I'm going with that. Just rambling. Hah you got way more than you bargained for, didn't you? haha)
