"Der Sandmann" was a serie on television that I've always watched when I was a little child. I loved it.(He didn't looked like that on television but in my fantasy)

Erinnert mich ehrlich gesagt ja eher an den Sandmann von E.T.A. Hoffmann - wobei der ja eigentlich ein BΓΆsewicht ist und mit deinem Bild wenig zu tun hat, aber dein Sandmann ist einfach viel zu schΓΆn, um gutmΓΌtig zu sein! xD
Ich habs ja schon gesagt, aber die Farben im Hintergrund - I can't. Es schaut so toll aus! Ich schmelze dahin. Und der Sand schaut so nach echtem Sand aus!

First off, love the surreal/dreamy feel to this piece - highly appropriate.
You've done a wonderful job making the figure of the sandman melt into his namesake. I like the monochromatic color scheme and the use of space as well as the balance of light and dark. Your lines definitely keep the eye moving and overall I really like the concept and execution.

I enjoy explaining what I like about a piece and why as much as just letting someone know I enjoy their artwork. I'd take a handful of thoughtful commentary over a billion "I like it!" ones. Besides, artists put a lot of effort into their work and I think they deserve a little effort back from the people who appreciate their creations. ^^
