Description
I went to Disneyland and wore my Jessie for a couple of hours! FINALLY got some nice shots in a Toy Story-ish location - well, it ought to be when it's Toy Story Playland, but you get my point. Nothing is that big in Denmark, haha!I really like that you can see my pull string

OMG PERFECT COSPLAY IS PERFECT! One of things in Disneyland or Walt Disney World that irks me is that Jessie, Woody and Buzz aren't face characters, they are basically fuzzies and I think that it would be so much better if they were able to actually interact with the guests...and this picture just cements that thought ^___^

But then again, they are supposed to be toys - plastic and all. Personally though I think they look like they could be cast in horror movies, haha. Especially Buzz! Scary ΓΆ
And THANKS : D

AWESOME! You were able to get inside cosplaying? They usually don't allow adults to cosplay

I did get some odd looks from the Cast Members (some happy, some unsure if they should call security or not), but they really don't have any specific policies concerning wearing costumes to their parks.

Actually, we do. I work at Disneyland Paris, and wearing costumes inside the parks (outside from the Halloween evening) is NOT allowed, actually. Which is sometimes pityful because some cosplayers can be great... But hey imagine you want to smoke suddenly (an exemple among others) and a kid sees you? "Jessie is smoking".
Being a character at the park is very controlled and requires training and you cannot do what you want... So that's mostly why they don't allow costumes for adults at the park. It's no different from the US. Believe me you were just lucky nobody tried to call the security...

I just researched it so much before going in cosplay ;( it's a shame they don't write it clearly in their policies online like in the US, since I thought it was completely OK in Europe then. And I did take care not to ruin the children's view on Jessie - I know all about training etc. since I work in Disney Store.

I checked the policies... They didn't change it since the opening of the park. I think they didn't think about cosplay/costumes at the beginning. Like bringing food and eating in the park is forbidden on the policies, but now it's allowed.
But costumes are a no-no. It's just most of the cast members, especially in summer, don't really know about it. It's quite rare because either people are forbidden to enter in the park, or if they change in the park, they are quickly seen by security who ask them to change. So you were just lucky.
I don't blame you: I'm very impatient about Halloween to wear my Alice costume and I wish i could go to the park more often with it. But if you are cautious about the children and all, most of people cosplaying are not - I remember a "sexy Alice", tons of make ups, very very short skirt(and...no panties U_U), high heels, and still people wanted to do pictures with her !

Under the faq on disneylandparis.com you can choose a question about dresscode, and the answer is simply "Appropriate clothing such as shirts and shoes must be worn." But I am sure you have an intern policy book where the rules on costumes are stated
I went through security twice in Studio Park, so yes - I must have been lucky !

Ah, Disney World has a different policy. They don't want adults cosplaying unless it's for the Halloween party. Mainly so guests don't confuse each other for cast members.

Yes, the US parks states clear policies on the subject on their home pages. But Paris simply states to "wear appropriate attire" and although there have been a couple of incidents of people not being allowed inside in "costume", I took my changes

Slinky is probably the right size, especially (like Woody said in TS 1) "YOU ARE A TOY!"

Hmm, not as far as I remember. And in TS3 he's quite small compared to the dolls! [link]

But wasn't he about Buzz sized for TS2? His spring wouldn't have reached as far as it did otherwise.
