I don't mean to butt in like this, but if the idea of "twincest" bothers you, you can always go with the (somewhat popular) belief that spark-split twins have to sparkmerge in order to continue living (because their sparks used to be one mass).

It's not that difficult to understand. When a spark is split into twins, it still feels the need to be whole. Sparkmerging helps with the feeling. It's not complex.
