I like to think that despite how Big is he can surprise people sometimes with stuff he knows when he thinks about it.

This is from around the time Sonic is pregnant with Venice while Knuckles & Rouge recently had Lara. Rouge was helping Sonic deal with everything & get him prepared for parenthood then some how Big got involved & they learn he's a good teacher despite not being a parent.

Sonic is kind of quiet & stuff because he's emotionally/mentally drained from when he learned he was pregnant & because he can't find Mephiles.
