Just a note, they are much bigger than normal deer, as you can see!

Here is there description:
These guys are born in the form you see above, that is what they actually look like. From there they can change into anything they want once they reach a certain age. Most Shifters stay in this form their whole lives and only change when they need to.....climb a tree of something. Mori has disguised himself in a humanoid shape, hiding his true form which is usually unthinkable to a Shifter, being they are such a proud race. Shifters also have another very unique ability. They were around at the time just 1600-1700s and that's when they're race thrived. The thing is; Shifters can live until they are killed. It is a gift and a burden, you can live for thousands of years or three minutes, and also the only way to die is to be killed. There is no natural death for a Shifter.
