This isn't an impossible shape, it's just a MΓΆbius strip . I think the triangular shape is reminding you of the Penrose triangle , but it's not one because it doesn't violate perspective.

Nope, a Penrose triangle has volume. This is a flat loop with a single half twist, in other words a MΓΆbius strip. The twist is the top right corner in this pic. It's quite easy to make one, just take a strip of paper, twist it once, and tape the ends together: instant one-sided object.

An impossible object is a type of optical illusion that looks like a drawing of a three-dimensional object, but one that couldn't actually exist in three dimensions, like the three-pronged blivet and the Penrose triangle. M.C. Escher used impossible objects in a lot of his art.
