Description
Kenji closed the door to the test chamber and entered a few final commands into his computer. Inside the chamber stood Hex, formerly Hisspan, and the cobra looked nervous. For that matter, Kenji was nervous too. Ever since the accident that changed Hisspan into a guy, the pressure had been on to find a way to change him back. It didn't help that now, with everything set to return Hex to normal, the cobra's husband, Wolfen, was standing by, watching. Kenji took a deep breath and pulled a lever. Lights filled the room, and the harsh smell of ozone assailed their noses. Kenji opened an eye and frowned. Inside the chamber, Hisspan/Hex was still a male.
"I don't understand," Kenji said. "It should have worked."
The fox blinked. That didn't sound right. It wasn't so much what he said, but the tone of his voice. Kenji reached up, feeling his throat.
"Testing, testing. One, two, three..."
Kenji panicked and ran for a mirror. His voice was definitely off. It was higher, more feminine. He looked into the reflective surface and gasped. He was a girl!
"No, no, no. This is all wrong!' he/she cried.
Somehow the test failed to penetrate the chamber and had rebounded, hitting Wolfen and himself. Kenji dropped the mirror as she realized the impact of her mistake. Her eyes went wide as she saw Wolfen. The wolf was looking down, shocked at the changes to her body. Wolfen was now a woman, and, to Kenji's still male orientated mind, quite an attractive one at that. Kenji shock his head, dismissing the thoughts. She needed to do something before Wolfen could react to what had happened. She barely took two steps before the angry growl echoed around the lab, it's new feminine tones making it no less scary.
"KENJI!!!"
Kenji turned to face Wolfen, a sheepish look on her face. How could things get any worse..?
