History
Whiskerpaw just sort of showed up one day as a kit abandoned on Desertclan's border. Roughly five moons old, he still had no memory of how he'd gotten there. He tended to shy away from queens and most definitely other kits, the thought of others terrified him. Particularly soft-spoken, he was nervous about becoming an apprentice, as it meant traveling around with a warrior, and more interaction with others. No matter how he strides to get ahead, his battling skills are seriously lacking, but that doesn't mean he's a terrible hunter. Decent at hunting, he prefers tasks such as gathering moss or herbs, favoring the time to himself. he's been known to wake before anyone in camp stirs, often finding a place to watch the sunrise. He'd never been fond of his clanmates, but he figured he could manage until he's needed for an important task. He's known to talk about how little his life matters; as if no matter what he does will matter in the end. He tended to get into trouble with Marigoldpaw in Neutral Territory, often questioning those who cross their path. During his assessment, he got decked by a coyote. This crippling shoulder injury set him back, even if he worked hard to keep up with everyone else. With pressure from Blindinglight about being a useless warrior, he left Desertclan in order not to weight his clanmates down. He lived alone in the desert for several moons, almost starving and on the brink of total dehydration. He was ambushed in his shelter two moons before his return, which scarred his face and forced blood into his eye, creating the black specks in the blue. With his shoulder now healed and his agility back, he's developed his skills as a hunter and warrior to Desertclan. Blindinglight's death sparked a conflict between Hawksong and himself, as he argued the value of death is equal for every cat. However, he devauled Hawksong and her family to Hawksong accidentally. Guilt haunted him continually after that, and he rarely spoke to her. Ironstar appointed him as deputy shortly after his warrior naming ceremony, despite having never trained an apprentice. He tries hard to do the best he can for his clanmates, even if it's not much. During an assessment gone awry, he, with the company of Ironstar, met Camas and Lotus. The showed interest in his scars, which made him uncomfortable. They proceeded to piss on him and run, so he and Ironstar had to bring them back to camp for interrogations by force. After this incident, at that moon's Gathering, he attempted to offer Goldenpaw advice, as Marigoldsear had informed him of the emotional turmoil the apprentice was going through. However, in a panic, he asked Tansyleaf for advice on how to give advice. Goldenpaw slipped away from the Gathering, and Whiskerfall, then in full panic mode, went on a manic hunt to find him. Upon doing so, he had another run-in with Camas and Lotus after stumbling into a clearing where they were playing with Goldenpaw. When he noticed them, he scrambled to sit upright and out of reach, almost accidentally hitting one of the kits. Goldenpaw jumped to their defense, claiming him to be a kit-murderer. Shortly after this incident, Marigoldsear arrived, and the twins slipped away. She consoled Goldenpaw and allowed Whiskerfall to explain himself, and he left shortly after. The incident pains him, to say the least. Following that incident, when hanging out with Marigoldsear one time, he was asked out by Darkscar. He accidentally caused Darkscar's "Bi Awakening". Once back in camp, he finally apologized to Hawksong about their argument from Blindinglight's death, and offered to support her in any and every way he could. It went somewhat well, surprisingly.
