Description
I decided to design a mascot for RIST, a group on Warriors Amino. We had to design a character based on the tuna (the fish). It's actually the first time I did something like that. I'll explain some details of her, for more depth of the chosen appearence.

Name: Tunia (based on Tuna, the fish and the flower Petunia)
Gender: Female
Attributes: Pair of glasses
Character: Helpful, stubborn (she always want to find the art, even if it takes more time than usual), adventurous, social, art lover,...

Head explained
• Shape of the head, based on the shape on the head of a tuna.
• The end of the ears are based on the tail of the tuna.
• I decided to give her big brown eyes. The tuna fish has also big (almost round) eyes.

Spikes explained
• I decided to give my mascot some spikes on the back (and the head), just like the tuna has. They are darker than the rest of the body.

Pattern explained
• The shape of the darker spots: They are based on the fin of the tuna (pectoral fin).
• I kept the other patterns organic, like the waves of the ocean.

Tail explained
• I did not wanted a fish-tail like a mermaid, so I decided to use an other detail of the tuna. I based the tail on the back fin. It's a short, handy tail.

Paws explained
• I used the same idea for the paws (like the tail) to use a fin pattern. This cat does not has normal paws.
• I also decided to change the 5th toe in a fin-like shape.

Attributes explained
• I decided to give Tunia glasses. It's a symbolic attribute. It isn't always necessary, so I drew it next to her. It's because warriors of RIST are looking for pictures and drawing on the internet, so They can help other people. It's not an easy job, so Tunia has a pair of glasses to help her if necessary.

For my first design ever, I'm actually very happy with the design. I have paid a lot of attention to make a design that really gives a focus on the tuna.
