Description
Slides a little bit of a Voltron reference in the title (winks)So once upon a time, during one of my sleep less nights over the summer, my overactive mind though of a project idea. Cause that is totally what you do at 1:00 in the morning or whatever time it was. So here is a clay headbust of my Rainwing Oc Parrot!
Also, what do you guys think about me doing commissions of one of these in the future?? I have no idea how to yet (shipping/payment wise), and I'm kinda busy now with school at the moment, but its an idea that I can look into for the future.

Oh my goodness this is amazing! I can't even believe that is just clay! It looks so professional! Part of me wants to try something like this on my own but another part of me knows that won't ever happen because I am pretty bad with clay/sculpting!

And with practice, you can defiantly improve your clay skills!! I don't remember if I posted some of my older projects on here, but they aren't the best haha. You have to start from somewhere.
OH and a tip that helped me so so much with clay and took me a while to figure out: A really really helpful technique is bulking out your sculpture. First you use wire and wrap tin foil around it to get the basic shape of whatever you want to make. Then you put clay on top and start the clay sculpting part. This is so helpful cause it makes the sculpture lighter, saves you clay and helps the sculpture hold its position.

This is neat! The sculpting looks smooth, the paintjob is clean and crisp(especially the eye), and the faux flowers were a great addition! I can easily see these go for $60-90ish, perhaps even more if it can be hung up on a wall or has add-ons like the flowers or depending on where it's being shipped to.

And that was actually around the range that I was thinking of selling them for if I open up commissions for these. Prices will probably vary depending on the complexity of the character though. Also, they can be hung on the wall
