My entry for s Zelda OC contest [link]

Theme: Pick a scene/situation from a list I provide where I describe a situation or scene. Draw what I'm describing as best you can.

My scene:
- Araceli has gone to Windfall Island once again to deliver mail. After the delivery she decides to browse the shops on the island. A Fountain Idol at Zunari's shop catches her eye. Excited to buy the item, she rummages through her mailbag where she has a habit of putting money at times. A rito postman (likely Ilari) watches Araceli, embarrassed by her actions and improper of her mailbag.

Since I never played Wind Waker (though I'd really like to) I had to get some references.... [link] was my reference for Zunari's Shop. I tried to stick to it as best as I could, though I changed the design of the roof to a simpler one-coloured cover. But still, I'm not really sure if it's right, so please excuse me if the shop's not just as in the game. Also I left out the stone building on the left side, because it'd be too much for me to draw that too. The Fountain Idol glows, to reflect Aracelis attraction for it.

Araceli is in a good mood, as always, and is especially happy to buy the item she wants. As she loves golden feathers, I included a sparkle effect on it, to make it more shiney and to show how much she cares for it.

Also I included Mila working in the shop rather than Zunari, as kind of an opposite to Araceli's sunny and spunky character. ^^ "Just give me my money, girl!"
Also I thought Mila would be more suitable, since the whole scene takes place after Links adventure in Wind Waker, where she is safed by him and now works as a poor girl at Zunari's. I decided to draw her slightly annoyed by Araceli's good mood, and waiting impatiently for her to pay as Araceli keeps rummaging through her mailbag. Other than that she doesn't really care for Aracelis use of her mailbag.

And then there's a little shocked Ilari in the background, spotting Araceli while she searches for her money. I kept him in the background, since I wanted to concentrate on Araceli. (nod)

My idea of the background was clear: A peaceful sunny day on the island~ To have a warm and happy atmosphere :3 :sunny:

I hope I drew the characters and the scene right I had to research a lot for this, also it was a little problem that I didn't knew the characters too well, but in the end, I'm fairly pleased with the picture. I really wanted to draw this scene, because I like Wind Waker and Ritos and immediately had an idea for the picture
