Description Again, a title that has nothing to do with the art... that's what comes of listening to comedians. I can't remember if I already posted this one or not. But I like it, so it oughta be on my new account anyway.

Set on the far left, Sekhmet in the middle, Ammit on the far right, and Apep gaying up the background. From my Egyptian-themed comic, Khamsin, that may someday be continued.

PS Full-view ppllleeeeaaasseeee. Thur's detail to be had, thur is.

Oh, thank you. ;_; That means a lot coming from you--I was just admiring your gallery, like, yesterday. XD It's absolutely gorgeous. And as for this, I think it was something like... 4 hours to ink, 6 to color? I can't quite remember.

Well, if I remember right, I did it when I was grounded, so there were no distractions. XD I think I got annoyed when dinner was called and I had to go eat, but that was about the only time I left my chair.

aaah, yeah, that helps. what did you get in trouble for?

i usually got in trouble for staying up late to draw instead of going to bed..

Grraaddess. ._. When I get bad grades, the parents take away computer for indefinite amounts of time. When I stay up too late, I lose something for a dayish.

Oh, parents. XD Such love.

Well, this year I'm shooting for all As, but previously it's been... one or two D/Fs, a few Cs, and some Bs that got me in trouble.

applying to art schools?

LizCoshizzle In reply to maria-jaujou [2006-11-06 00:13:44 +0000 UTC]

No, probably not. D: I figured that it's too hard to make a living with art... so I'll be the next best thing and go for High School English teacher. XD I think I'll minor in art though.

hehe, that's pretty much what i decided 5 years ago too. i went out and became a physicist instead of going to an art school and i do not regret it in the slightest, because i can always persue art on my own ^_^

highschool english teacher sounds really difficult, though. you must really love literature, huh?

Yeah, that's about what I figured... and if I was doing art for a living, then I wouldn't have time to do the art that I really like--comics and stuff--for myself. So apparently I'll spend my time grading papers instead. XD

And funny that you, a physicist, should say that my career choice sounds hard! XD I'd think that mine'd be a walk in the park in comparison. But, yeah... I like literature, but more than anything I'm pretty sure that kids are getting more and more stupid and shallow, and maybe I can do something to help that.

yeah, if there's one thing i know from the experience of friends/acquaintances who've become professional artists it's this:
1. when you go to art school, it's lots of pressure, but you love it. you get to do SO much art and you get to improve SO much and SO quickly, zomg holycrap zomg.
2. when you become a professional artist and draw for a living, you usually wind up drawing things you wouldnt otherwise -- like futurama storyboards or inking other people's bad pencil art or whatever -- and it drains your creative abilities like a little dementor on a stick and you can go for half a year without drawing something for yourself, cause.. let's face it... when you get home, you do NOT want to draw...

terrible, huh?
this is of course not true for those amazing artists who become the "fantasy illustrator" type of professionals... but they are the only ones pretty much that get to do what they love.

ditto on noticing the general ineptitude of children nowadays. i have a 15 year old brother, he just started highschool... and he knows a LOT because he used to read those "eyewitness books" in lower grades... ( i dont know if you know what those are... they're big white glossy books of facts and pictures on whatever subjects... sorta like big white glossy versions of discovery channel programming BEFORE it became all about remodeling your house. )... but at the same time, he thinks that Jessica Simpson is the original singer of "fools rush in", for example... O.o

holidame In reply to LizCoshizzle [2006-10-16 20:48:46 +0000 UTC]

Well, skin, yes... but his hair (thusly, I'd always thought, his fur) was red.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LizCoshizzle In reply to holidame [2006-10-16 21:25:23 +0000 UTC]

Huh... maybe that's why I figured he was white, because of the skin. I mean, I know he had red hair, but I tended to ignore that when he was in his weird... llamaarmadillo form. I can't remember for the life of me where I got that he was white now, I just know I always saw him like that. XD
