Ajax is actually a one-winged Phaban smuggler (and your general gouger...) he still has a short arm-like rest of the right wing, mostly rumours abound on how he really lost that wing but the most plausible ones talk about non paid depts...
he still makes a quite nice living with smuggling stuff into Merphab but only INTO it, try not to argue him into smuggling something out of the city...

I had a Star Wars tabletop rpg character of a race that I'd developed as a kid, who has so many limbs it's not even funny - including sharply hooked wing wrists like that. Their race has a complicated martial arts form for it. She ... kind of got involved with the wrong people at one point, and in the process of being interrogated, had her hooks gouged out.
And then she got them replaced. With METAL.
