*I needed a new image for this so I tried to mimic the DC concept arts. Like my other DC characters, Leon is mainly within the comics verse with possibly some exceptions.

Leon was born in Patras, Greece to a kind and generous mother and a father who was often more focused on the success of his business than the health and happiness of his family. Despite an absent father, Leon had a fairly normal childhood. He did pretty much everything that normal little boys in his town did. He would run around and climb the ruins of stone buildings and fortresses with his friends, taking many chances and nearly dying several times. It wasn’t until he was in his early teens that it was discovered he wouldn’t die by normal means. Growing up, his mother always thought it odd that he would heal strangely quickly when compared to the other children his age. He would come home complaining about a scraped knee only to find that his scrape would vanish before his mother could see. All of these signs were disregarded until one fateful day when Leon was playing with some of his friends on top of the old fortress. There was an accident that caused both Leon and another boy to fall a dangerous distance. While both boys were knocked unconscious, Leon awoke surprisingly quickly with no injuries to show what happened. HIs friend woke up days later, sporting a spinal injury that would result in his being paralyzed from the waist down.
Leon soon became both frightened and fascinated by his ability. For years he became more and more of a daredevil and he began training with the local militia (ignoring his father’s wishes) and sought to teach himself how to fight properly. There was a sense of adrenaline that fighting would give him that he desired, despite his parents’ disapproval of his actions. During his time with the militia, Leon would do things that no one else would dare because of the risks involved. It didn’t matter to Leon. He knew that no matter how badly he was hurt, he would always recover. During this time, wanting to convince her son to follow a different path, Leon’s mother went to bring her son home and had an accident. Left on the verge of death, Leon was at a loss. His father was furious and blamed Leon for everything. He told his son that the only way he could make up for his failings towards his mother was to try and fix her. He demanded that Leon give himself up to science to try and find a cure for his mother’s impending death.
The scientist put in charge of Rhea’s life, Walt Trayvor, was a man of absent morals. He had been under Grant’s employ for many years, and while Grant seemed to genuinely wish for his wife’s improvement, Trayvor only cared about advancing his own knowledge and saw experimenting on Leon as the road to advancement wrapped up nicely and dropped into his lap. He agreed to try and manipulate Leon’s abilities to attempt to heal Rhea, but knew she was already past the point of saving. Still, Grant agreed to any and all experiments. Anything to keep his own hope alive. Leon would do anything to save his mother and erase his own feelings of guilt.
The experiments done were cruel and inhumane, and for Leon there was no escape. Grant had no knowledge of his son’s suffering, far too preoccupied with his business affairs and ailing wife to pay attention. With Leon in his hands, Trayvor had already won. At first, the experiments were relatively harmless until they evolved into something worse. Leon was locked into an experimental chamber and his body was blasted endlessly with radiation. The constant attacks were detrimental to his healing abilities and Leon begged for mercy, but Trayvor only saw scientific research advancing. He pumped the chamber full of experimental concoctions and Leon tasted death several times, but Death spared him. He managed an escape during a skeleton crew shift of the lab, standing at death's door. As his body deteriorated constantly from the inside, Leon moved around the lab. He managed to find Trayvor's office and entered in the hope that he could find either a cure or a way out of the facility. What he found instead gave him a purpose.
Trayvor had plans. In his files, Leon found a list of projects planned for the future. The experiments performed on Leon were called "Project Alpha." Then there was Project Beta, Project Omega, and more. Leon felt sick. More kids were being targeted. It was never about saving anyone. He was furious. The influx of adrenaline and anger in his system triggered a reaction within his body. His meta genes fused with the concoctions that Trayvor had pumped into his bloodstream. Instead of deteriorating, Leon's body changed.
The chemicals he was bombarded contained a hidden element, an ancient piece of an artifact said to have ties to Thanatos, the Greek daemonic representation of death. The chemicals and element of Thanatos combined with Leon's meta gene and granted him several new abilities. In a fit of new found rage, Leon destroyed Trayvor's office and lab with his new powers. He left. He found Trayvor and murdered him and his associates. Leon escaped to his family’s home, ransacked his father’s vault of weaponry and cash, and took everything he would need to survive on his own.
Leon could feel death inside and all around him. He wished for it, but when it wasn't granted to him, he only felt cursed. He couldn't talk to Thanatos, but somehow he felt like the figure of death could hear him. Having nowhere to go, Leon knew he had to leave home.
He visited his mother one final time and watched her pass on. The guilt ate at him, and when his father found him weeping by his mother’s side, he made sure to tell Leon exactly how he felt about his son, filling every word with venom.
Leon left for the United States and traveled, searching for someone to trust and something to do. He had no allegiances and lived only for himself. Left to his own devices, that childhood need for trouble and adrenaline put him at odds with those with higher morals. When he found out about Cadmus and their experiments, he decided to take matters into his own hands and end them himself.

Powers and Abilities:
☨Accelerated Healing
Leon’s inherited powers through his blood consisted only of accelerated healing to the point of near immortality. He is able to rapidly heal from nearly every injury and escape death, making him an ideal subject for experimentation of several kinds. His aging process is also slowed slightly, making it so he ages slower than average. His healing abilities aren’t perfect, however, since they were altered some due to excessive amounts of drugs and radiation. He still heals quite rapidly, but his body sometimes causes him an immense amount of pain as the process of healing takes place.
☨Acid/Poison/Toxic Generation
For the sake of simplicity, I am defining "poisons" as any substance that has a debilitating effect on the human body. Usually these are called acids/poisons/toxins and I'd hate to have to repeat those three all the time.
Leon can generate acid within his body's many glands and extract it through his skin. The product of this is highly acidic and can do anything from burn to melt whatever it touches. He is limited in the ways he can apply the acid to his targets as of right now, meaning he can only apply the acid through touch or his own saliva. There is room for him to learn how to “spray” the acid at his targets, but he hasn’t learned this technique yet.
The poison generation is basically the same as his acid generation. One of the differences is that the poison is generated within his blood rather than through the many glands of the skin. The poison that is generated within his blood is highly toxic, but the only way it is effective to his enemies is if he is bleeding during a battle and they somehow ingest the blood. He is able to take his blood and use it to create a variety of toxic bombs that will be in a gaseous state. This ability is limited due to his limit of how much blood can be taken from his body at once, but thanks to his accelerated healing, he doesn’t have to wait as long as a normal person would.
☨Poison/Acid Immunity
Any poisons that enter his blood are absorbed and used to strengthen his own deadly toxins.
☨Poison/Toxin Absorption
Since his genetic code was altered and his metagene changed, Leon is capable of absorbing poisons and removing it from the host or source. The poisons enter his own body instead and once there they work to enhance his physical form, giving him some advantages. Usually the enhancements make him stronger, but with each new poison he absorbs, his own body's toxins grow stronger.
☨Poison/Toxic Area
Leon can use the poisons within his body and project them, creating an area of poison that infects his surroundings. He usually wears a mask when using this ability, not because the poisons will hurt him, but because his body will react in a human way and can sometimes make him light headed or nauseous.
☨Poisonous Aura
If he doesn't want to fill a room with poisons, Leon can tone down his attack and surround only himself with a toxic aura. As well as enhancing his own strength, these toxins help protect him during close combat.
☨Toxikinetic Combat
Using the substances his body creates, Leon can utilize the toxins in combat. In this way, his every touch can potentially become fatal. Because of the way his body creates and manipulates toxins, the combat he utilizes can be anywhere from pain-inducing, disorienting, nauseating, or even lethal. The stronger the toxin, the further strain it puts on his body.
☨Connection to Thanatos
Because of his connection to Thanatos, while not absolute in nature, immortality was granted to Leon. Combined with his meta genes, Leon cannot die, but he still suffers from injuries and the pain that comes with living.
Death Sense allows Leon to sense the coming of death as well as when someone has died or is in the process of dying. He has to be in the presence of the inflicted beings for this ability to occur and he despises having this knowledge. He first experienced it with his mother and often has nightmares because of it.
Killing Intuition, while not strong enough to use on most superpowered beings, grants Leon the knowledge of how to kill a lot of living beings, though he is not likely to ever utilize it.
Serenity Inducement gives Leon a passive affect that, with the weak minded, puts them into a serene state of mind. Originally intended to comfort the dying on their journey to the afterlife, in it's current state it provides Leon a means to calming those around him. The older he gets, the stronger the effect will be.

☨Sublimation
This is the ability to morph into a gaseous, mist, or fog-like form. This allows Leon to create a cover for his team or hide from enemies. It also can be used as a form of attack, since the poison and acid in his body are carried into the mist with him. This means that the fog he becomes will be highly toxic and acidic, though the acid is diluted greatly because of his state. There are problems that can arise from him being in this state, one such being the problems that would arise from being “purified.” If a natural fog or purely water based mist or attack entwines with him in this state, his poison and acidic abilities will be diluted and his body will be forced to heal. This kicks him out of the gaseous form and forces him to retreat for some time to readjust.

Limitations and Weaknesses:
Leon’s biggest weaknesses are water based powers. This is because water acts like a pure entity. Water makes his poison and acid very diluted and fairly ineffective against his enemies. It also tricks his body into going into a healing state, more specifically the state that causes him great pain due to his body believing that his blood is under attack from a foreign being that is altering his natural state.
Personality:
Loyal to an extent, Leon claims to be loyal to his team and allies, and generally does follow through. Truthfully, he is looking for a beneficial relationship (something he learned from his father). If he thinks he can benefit from a friendship, he is more willing to see it through. There are, of course, exceptions. He is human, after all, and even he needs friends. The friends he does make, he becomes very attached to. When it comes to who matters the most in dangerous situations, it will always be his friends. His determination is rivaled by few and can sometimes come across as being cocky.
Leon is a gentleman, taught to treat others with chivalry and grace by his mother, but even his good nature has a limit. His personality can be unpredictable. When he is in full control of his emotions, he often acts pretty happy and carefree. He knows how to have fun and enjoys it when the opportunity arises. However just as often as he is happy, his mood turns sour and his temper shows itself. In his worst moods he can come across as cold and distant. When he feels berated or mocked, he lashes out in anger (usually verbally). Leon is also still dealing with the guilt of losing his mother and carries with him a lot of self-loathing and feelings of being unworthy. During his weakest moments, he tries to make himself remain unseen. Leon also has a need for self-preservation that can sometimes lead him into dangerous situations where he would rather run than stay and fight, but this is a trait that is rarely seen.
When it comes to good vs bad, Leon takes no sides. He follows his own path and will associate himself with both sides, usually the good guys win more often than not.
