If "Muppets Mayhem" ever got a Season 2, I would hope for a few Muppet cameos, and, in this case, bringing back an obscure Muppet from the late 80s: Digit. Not many people remember him, but he had his start on "The Jim Henson Hour", as the keyboardist for Solid Foam: www.youtube.com/watch?v=veulmV… Anyway, I imagined some other Muppets learning about the Mayhem's new album being released, and Bunsen and Beaker decide to send Digit to their location, to help out with a few things. Sure, it's been over 30 years, since they last saw him, but when Digit arrives, in a crate, they recognize him. Janice quips that Moog won't believe this, and Digit asks, "Who's Moog?"
At that, Floyd sighs, "We got a lot to catch up on, man."
When the two humans, Nora and Moog, arrive, they're stunned to see the semi-robotic fellow, but they're relieved that he doesn't mean any harm. As the day goes on, Digit becomes the band's technical assistant, and even fills in, whenever Dr. Teeth can't play. Digit even shows off a bit of sass, especially when Moog doesn't exactly know who he is; "And you call yourself a superfan?" Digit nearly scoffs. "Tsk-tsk-tsk."
At one point, I even imagined some jerk trying to destroy Digit, because he's "obsolete", but Dr. Teeth sneers, "Not to us, he ain't..." Luckily, the lovable robot is rescued, and Moog even repairs him. I know this may be a stretch, but what do you guys think?
