Thanks for the Diego Rivera reference. Had a look at some of his work and it's given me some ideas. Actually a lot of the things he's painted are very similar to some of the sights I saw in Peru. At least he's someone to sort of aspire to.

that one was oil on canvas but sometimes i paint on board too.

well all are pre primed but I usually paint another colour over the white and then start... either with arcylics or oils.

Thanks will take a look at some Diego Rivera again now. This was the one I liked the least out of all my Chitapampa portraits - the last one i di and I think the worst... dunno just think its looks a bit cartoony or something... can't get away from that.

Dont know if it's a bad picture but it's maybe missing a third tone(highlights) from the face which makes it a little flat. I like it the way it is though. It's nicely decorative.
