Description
Ha Sebin, guitarist of the Korean bands Eve and Nemesis. I've decided to branch out into asian music beyond Japan
Also from my sketchbook for art class.
2B pencil, 6B and 8B graphite.

I stumbled across Sebin a year ago. He is very impressive. Have you heard the all piano verison of two of his songs? So pretty!
The faded-off effect on the bottom and right of the image is cool. ^^ That's hard to do with pencil. I tried it once, and it was terrible! eeek!

Hehe, I just discovered him a few weeks ago
I got the fade effect by using graphite sticks- they're much easier to blend over large spaces than plain pencil

Haha I used to listen to Korean music all the time. You become more and more like me every time I check DA. Love it.
I dunno what music you listen to. But I used to listen to Shinhwa (they broke up) but then theres a new group called Battle I think and they are about the same thing. And I listened to DBSG (aka DBSQ) I think those two were my favorites. Hye Seung is my favorite singer. Has the voice of an angel. Pah!

I've been listening to a lot of l'arc~en~ciel and Gackt recently, along with other random people who I can only listen to online because I don't have any of their CD's.
I really like Nemesis (one of the bands this guy is in) although I think they only have one CD right now.

Yeah, my dad doesn't really like them- he complains everytime we play them in the car. But we've tolerated enough of his bad music that we just ignore him most of the time lol

But when I play the songs with no singing, it goes over well. Mom likes pretty Sebin songs on piano, even she had to admit he is good. *teehee* ^^

My mom is ok with most of my music, but it takes her a while to get used to it. She hasn't heard any of Sebin's music yet, but I think she'll like it.

Mine hates anything not sung in English. I've caught her liking EVE songs when they start, or in the middle, but as soon as she realizes it's not sung in English, she gets mad, like I played a trick on her or something. lol. Silly.
I think EVE's sound is easy to like for Americans. I've had some people describe it as 60s British pop, if this is true, I don't know. Nemesis is more Asian with j-popish songs, and the classical-rock fusion sound. I am hoping classical-rock fusion comes to the US. I am loving it. ^^

I can't really think of any 60's brittish pop to compare it to, at the moment. Except for the Beatles, but I'm not really finding any similarities there lol One of EVE's songs- I forget which one- does remind me of an Elvis song though, for some reason XD
