I don't see a lot of the shading and the shadow on the ground doesn't seem right or soft enough. The line art and colors are pretty though. Very interesting and original looking creature here.

I honestly can't see why you don't see much shading, as pretty much everything is shading (even all those stupid little scales)

I could see that you had indeed shaded it, i think it was the lack of contrast and in some places I felt there should be a dark shadow and wasn't. I didn't mean to offend.
