Why is he your favorite character?

Well, there are a few reasons:
1. He is an otter (Can't blame me for loving otters).
2. He's funny, cute, and quite a rascal. Not to mention he was useful on the way in a few cases.
3. Even though he's not a hare, he does take after Basil (especially since he's adopted), even is only sometimes.
4. I;m also quite curious on why Cheek was alone and what happened to his parents (too bad we'll never know from Mr. Jacques himself).
I know I said Cheek was my favorite character of Mattimeo, but I also like Basil, Orlando, Sir Harry the Muse, Stryke Red Kite, Slagar the Cruel, and little Rollo (he was very cute and enjoyable as a young un.) Plus, I have other favorite characters (or characters I like) from other books of the series (especially the first one, Redwall). Cheek is just one of my favorite characters in general.
As for you, I'm well aware of your opinion on him, so you don't have to explain (I already know). You and I may disagree on Cheek, but I respect your opinion as long as you respect mine (just to be fair).

I don't know if you grew up with Redwall or not, but I saw Redwall for the first time when I was 19. So I view Redwall very differently than most fans

I see. Well actually, I've got to know about Redwall when I was in the middle of my junior (3rd) year of high school (specially at January 2011, when I was still 17 years old), when I was at home, watching youtube videos when I came across the tv series. After that, it was then I've got to know the novel series and started reading them. I actually love the series, especially since all the characters are animals (I'm a huge animal person). I see, good for you.

I've always loved Cheek's character. He might be a bit... well... cheeky, but he is also funny and can be helpful when the situation demands it.

This character ruined Season two, he is such an Infallible Mary Sue. He figured things out when Matthias should have figured it out. Also Matthias made a dumb decision taking him along because he could and should have died. That raft scene is so unwatchable that when This little shit saved Everyone I turned off my laptop and walked away.
I hate this character, he's the worst Redwall Character in the entire series. He doesn't even die at Malkariss which realistically would have happened, but Brian Jacques took no risks with this character and made him a Mary Sue. If the book and series did not have this character, or only had one scene with him, his presence would be way more forgiveable.
Look at that smug arrogant face. As an artist you really capture how much of a Mary Sue he really is, just a perfect nothing can touch him kind of character, protected by the Author's plot armor.
