They are good old friends, but not more than that. Boogieman is an sadistic executioner whoΒ loves his job and people screaming but he never hurts HER.Β
Rei works at school. She likes children and tomatoes. She appreciates HIM as a friend. But now his attention seems too boring to her.

Are they your original characters? I reaaally like their design and it sure sounds like an interesting relationship between the two. I wouldn't have guessed her occupation. I thought she was kind of a "bad guy" herself, she looks pretty confident and badass somehow.
I also really like the lighting too, and the whoel style gives the impression of a frame from an animated movie (which I would TOTALLY love to see, haha).
