Description
I've been trying to draw this for almost a year. After five attempts, I finally came up with a version I liked.
I have never been to a "Star Trek" convention, or really any kind of major sci-fi con. (Though that may change as I go to Geek Con next week.) I have, however, watched a lot of videos on You Tube with actors from "Star Trek" and other sci-fi shows, doing panels at conventions. I began to fantasies about what a "Star Trek" con might be like, and came up with this.

ACTORS INCLUDED:

Wil Wheaton
The actor who played Wesley Crusher, the insufferable boy genius on "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Although most Trekkies hate Wesley with a burning passion, the actor has gained a lot of popularity and respect. He himself has sometimes been credited with hating the character more than anyone (though the below interview has him defending Wesley). George Takei:
The actor who played Mr. Sulu in the Original Series, Takei eventually came out of the closet and became a spokesman for gay rights. Like Wheaton, he's very popular among "Star Trek" fans. His famous catch phrase "Oh my!" became an Internet meme. I once saw a hilarious video where Takei read an erotic slash fan-fiction aloud, featuring his character and Chekov. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMgC3O…

Robert Beltran:
The guy who played Commander Chakotay on "Star Trek: Voyager." People who've met him usually say he's a nice enough person, and has a good sense of humor. But he's often painted as a malcontented scrooge, due to feuds he had with the show's writers. He also has a very Louis Black type of humor, with lots of F-boms and exaggerated rage. Windy

I deliberately drew most of the fans to look different than the characters they were dressed as, to make it obvious that they were just people in costumes. I also included a few gender-benders, which is common at conventions (that is, people who deliberately dress as an opposite-sex version of some character, rather than trying to pretend they are the character's gender).

I do not own the rights to any of these shows, or the likenesses of the actors.
