THIS, IS, EQUESTRIA!
Just something fun I decided to work on. Obviously inspired by the bronze age Greek hoplite. Decided to fuse a 'plate' armor feel with a lamellar/leather backing.
I will eventually do one for the Lunar Guard as well.
Took me about 4-5 hours total. Used Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5.

A rather good design, especially f its an early attempt. One thing that's really throwing it off however is the spear: It's completely strait when it should be going in and out of the frame: its current positioning throws off the sens of depth.
